Such are the motions felt by Tight Rope Sky's debut album "Strange New World", an alchemical mixture that unites progressive rock with the worlds of post-rock and ambient music to set the tone for an attractive and fresh approach to rock music. Providing the climate for mood and tension are complementary doses of textural dual guitar melodies [Daniel Fliegal (lead)/Archer Edwards (rhythm)] to pull listeners in; only to be thrown into an abyss of loud dissonant guitars in a frenzied cathartic fashion. Held down tight by a rhythm section [Richard Garay (bass)/Ryan Fultz (drums)] that weaves between a solid steadfast foundation into a wave of spacious ambiance and dreamlike atmosphere, this euphonious combustion is led by an operatic and emotional vocal performance [Tim Kranz] to balance and ground the listeners in with the bands’ cross-genre defining style.

Arriving from a diverse musical background (Berklee College of Music, Los Angeles Recording School, Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca [Spain], and Barbershop quintet) and numerous projects, the Los Angeles-based band completed their line up in the summer of 2011 to establish the core of what is Tight Rope Sky.

In early 2012 the group hit the studio to record their awaited debut album "Strange New World" (released June 9th, 2012). Mastered by the hands of talented producer Jamie King (Between the Buried and Me), the album delivers a variety of songs that feels both nostalgic and refreshing while at the same time setting the platform in which to explore the boundaries and depths of their musical art and vision.
